AISI 4330v widely used in the petroleum and natural gas fields, which enhances strength and hardness by adding vanadium. 4330 steel containing a large amount of nickel is called "SAE 4330v mod and 4330VM quenching and tempering.By appropriate heat treatment,higher strength levels can be achieved, up to 150 KSI. Due to its better hardenability and better CVN impact toughness
4330V alloy steel achieves high strength and hardness over a larger diameter range. Due to its low carbon content, it has better welding characteristics than AISI 4145. AISI 4330V is typically supplied through quenching and tempering, with a hardness ranging from tempering to 35-39HRc.
