Universal Beams ASTM A36 I-beam Bars for PV Solar Bracket
I-beam, also known as Universal Beam, is a long strip of steel with a cross-section in the shape of an I-beam. I-beams are divided into ordinary I-beams and lightweight I-beams. It is a section steel with a I-shaped shape.
I-beams are mainly divided into ordinary I-beams, lightweight I-beams, and wide flange I-beams. At the same height, lightweight I-beams have narrow flanges, thin web plates, and light weight. Wide flange I-beam, also known as H-beam, has a cross-sectional feature where the two legs are parallel and there is no inclination on the inside of the legs. It belongs to the economic section steel and is rolled on a four roll universal rolling mill, so it is also known as "universal I-beam". Ordinary and lightweight I-beams have formed national standards.
The specifications for the width and center width of wide flange I-beams are generally 10 to 60 sizes, which means their corresponding heights are 10 to 60cm. Moreover, at the same height, lightweight I-beams have smaller web plates, lighter weight, and narrower steel flanges.
I-beams are widely used in the construction field and are commonly used in frame structures such as brackets, beams, columns, stairs, etc
As a common type of steel material, I-beam has a wide range of applications, mainly including construction, machinery manufacturing, shipbuilding, and road construction。
